About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate 1:1 Tutor to join our team at Vision for Education - Manchester. As a 1:1 Tutor, you will work closely with students who require additional support in core subjects, such as Maths and English.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality 1:1 tuition to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or those who are Looked After.
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and other professionals involved in the student's education.
  • Develop and implement tailored learning plans to meet the individual needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with the student's existing support network to ensure consistency and effective support.
  • Monitor and record student progress, identifying areas for improvement and celebrating successes.
Requirements
  • Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent)
  • Experience of working with students with SEND or those who are Looked After
  • Ability to deliver Maths and English sessions
  • Passion for supporting students who struggle to engage with education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
