Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Data Centres team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing contracts from inception to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying and commercial management, with experience working on high-profile projects. You will be responsible for managing contracts, including tender evaluation and post-contract support, operating with NEC forms of contract and bespoke forms, and leading clients to ensure work is done to specification and cost.

The ideal candidate will have broad technical knowledge of procurement, supply chain, cost, and commercial management, ideally pre- and post-contract, as well as experience with standard forms of contract, including the NEC suite, and Public Contract Regulations 2015. Strong personal and communication skills, ambition, drive, and energy are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management of contracts, including tender evaluation and post-contract support
  • Operating with NEC forms of contract and bespoke forms
  • Leading clients to ensure work is done to specification and cost
  • Stakeholder engagement across a portfolio of projects
  • Issuing/reviewing early warning notices
  • Priced and assessed compensation events
  • Monthly commercial reporting
  • Management of contractors and subcontractors accounts
  • Updating risk registers
  • Reviewing programmes
  • Issuing payment certificates and valuation assessments
  • Leading and mentoring junior team members
