Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) to join our team at Guildford RASASC. The successful candidate will provide expert advice and support to survivors of rape and sexual abuse, helping them to access the services they need to rebuild their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide survivor-focused, independent support to individuals who have experienced rape and sexual abuse.
  • Undertake risk assessments and support needs analyses with survivors, developing personalized support plans to ensure their ongoing safety and well-being.
  • Offer expert advice and guidance on a range of issues, including housing, health, and education, to support survivors in their recovery.
  • Manage a caseload of survivors, maintaining accurate records and monitoring information as required.
  • Collaborate with other members of the ISVA team and the wider RASASC team to provide a comprehensive support service.

Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust with survivors.
  • Proven experience of working with vulnerable individuals, including those who have experienced trauma.
  • Knowledge and understanding of child and vulnerable adult protection procedures and information sharing protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality support services.
  • Full driving license and access to a car for work purposes.
