Key Responsibilities:

  1. Focus on monthly closing and reporting of books and records, related account reconciliations, cost accruals, analysis of financial statement variances, while ensuring compliance with US GAAP, SOX, and Stericycle accounting policies.
  2. Prepare timely and accurate accounting information and processes to support monthly reporting to the US parent company, statutory accounts, and tax returns.
  3. Communicate regularly with stakeholders to ensure efficient and accurate reporting and collaborate with various business units to have a thorough understanding of reporting requirements and business needs.
  4. Prepare complex journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and US reporting packages. Undertake balance sheet and P&L reviews, including variance analysis, to provide meaningful insights into the company's financial performance.
  5. Collaborate with internal and external audit and tax teams to ensure compliance.
  6. Work closely with the FP&A Team and Commercial Finance to understand P&L drivers and movements in the month, as well as overall business performance.

Requirements:

  1. CIMA/ACCA qualification or nearing the end of your studies.
  2. Practical experience in journal entry, balance sheet reconciliation, and a solid understanding of US GAAP/IFRS and SOX requirements.
  3. Comfortable with P&L variance analysis, reviewing costs, and providing commentary for FP&A and senior management.
  4. Advanced IT skills, including expertise with Excel, as well as finance system expertise.
