We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accident and Emergency Nurse to join our team at The Christie @ Macclesfield SACT services unit. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to patients receiving systemic anti-cancer treatment (SACT) and other supportive treatments.
Main Responsibilities:- Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care and coordination of treatment plans.
- Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate direct patient care, ensuring the highest standards of care and safety.
- Support the charge nurse/senior sister/matron in monitoring the safety and quality of care for patients.
- Coordinate the day-to-day management of the SACT unit, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
- Lead and motivate Band 5, 4, and 3 staff, ensuring compliance with mandatory training and appraisal requirements.
- Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RILU) with a degree or diploma in nursing studies.
- Experience in a relevant specialty, with a strong understanding of nursing models and evidence-based practice.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to work as a team leader and foster a supportive working environment.
- UKON's passport and SACT experience.
- Ability to demonstrate the organisational values and behaviours, including making a difference, acting with kindness, and connecting with people.
- Commitment to own personal professional development and that of all other team members.
- Opportunities for on-going learning and development, including leadership courses and individually tailored career development pathways.
- Preceptorship and individually tailored training.
- Nurse-led practice and support from locally based clinical practice educators/facilitators.
