Job Title: Process Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Process Engineer to join our Thermal Engineering and Asset Management team. As a Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our energy projects across the UK and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process analysis and performance optimization across components and entire plants/systems.
  • Modelling and simulation of thermal power, gas storage, carbon capture, hydrogen production, and other systems.
  • Fuels, combustion, and emissions calculations; fluid flow and heat transfer analysis.
  • Design and configuration/sizing options, value engineering.
  • Early-stage concept designs including derivation of key input/output data for internal governance and planning applications.
  • Concept stage, detailed design, and execution phase technical authority role: responsible for process input/outputs, performance, and capability guarantees, heat and mass balances, P&IDs, system functionality, and component sizing.
Requirements:
  • Degree-qualified engineer, experienced in thermal power and/or gas storage process engineering.
  • Proven track record in the use of process modelling and simulation tools.
  • Strong technical skills and a detailed understanding of technical/commercial interactions and experienced in interacting with diverse departments and teams.
  • Highly motivated and committed with strong interpersonal skills, able to deliver high-quality specialist technical work and communicate complexity in an understandable way.
