Job Title: Employment Specialist

Southdowns Work & Wellbeing Service in West Sussex is seeking a dedicated Employment Specialist to join their team. As an Employment Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health conditions to secure sustainable paid employment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of clients in structured treatment for varied mental health issues to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment.
  • Deliver the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model, providing person-centred guidance to clients, while building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment.
  • Work as part of the Secondary Mental Health Care team in the adult treatment service, maintaining positive and integrated relationships, fostering a holistic approach to recovery through employment.
Requirements:
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to adapt approach to meet the differing needs of clients
  • Strong understanding of the importance of work in the lives of individuals with mental health conditions
