Area Director

As a key member of our leadership team, the Area Director will play a pivotal role in driving the performance of our North East services. Reporting directly to the Divisional Director, you will lead a team of managers and support functions to achieve quality, customer, financial, and growth targets.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide operational support to the Divisional Director and services to achieve GOOD or OUTSTANDING ratings with the Regulator, utilizing internal audits.
- Implement recommendations from children and young people's feedback, ensuring the Divisional Director is informed of progress.
- Lead in driving improvement on quality performance metrics, such as audits compliance, action plan completion, and other relevant metrics.
- Deliver service improvement through effective management of complaints, compliments, and feedback, ensuring lessons are learned and shared.
- Manage and lead on complaints, achieving a positive and complete resolution in line with policy.
- Remove barriers and ensure managers have access to internal and external support services to achieve maximum performance.
- Have a good awareness of Ofsted and CIW regulations to support Registered Managers in readiness and during assessment processes.
- Ensure legal frameworks ensure children and young people's safety and court orders are enacted where necessary.
- Ensure environments are safe, meet health and safety requirements, and are of a decorative presentation.
- Work with children and young people, their support, and circle of support to develop ways of hearing their voice for best outcomes.
- Have a good working knowledge of regulatory and legal frameworks relevant to the children's and young people's social care sector.
- Lead and oversee allocated locations in support of the Regional Director using data and IT systems.
- Work with Registered Managers to support staff teams to meet mandatory training and seek further support for specialist training.
- Support the Divisional Director to identify capex and resources needed to drive new revenue and quality improvements, ensuring a robust return on investment.
- Support the Divisional Director to actively seek opportunities for commercial partnerships with key third-party organizations.
- Ensure homes are fully compliant with company financial operating instructions, policies, and procedures.
- Assist the Divisional Director to identify opportunities for business development, including re-developments, new services, and partnership working with commissioners.
- Support the Divisional Director and Children's Division Senior Management Team to develop the Children's Division Strategy.
- Good standard of oral and written Math and English.
