About the Role:

Nelson College London seeks an Academic Support Lecturer to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will provide academic support to students, enabling them to achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing Individual Learning Plans, providing formative feedback on assignments, and maintaining supportive relationships with students. You will also work collaboratively with the college team to ensure the smooth running of our premises and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individual Learning Plans for students
  • Provide formative feedback on assignments and guidance on interpreting summative feedback
  • Maintain supportive relationships with students and act as a key point of contact
  • Work collaboratively with the college team to ensure the smooth running of our premises and facilities

Person Specification:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Able to recommend resources based on subject knowledge
  • Ability to teach and motivate others
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and good problem-solving abilities
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines
  • An understanding of the confidentiality required whilst working with student data and accessing sensitive information

We Offer:

A competitive salary of £25,000 - £26,000, depending on relevant skills and experience. We are committed to investing in our staff and offer opportunities for professional development and growth.
