Hill & Hill Recruitment Ltd is a leading developer and contractor undertaking major new build residential & mixed-use schemes across the country.

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team in Kent.

The successful candidate will report into the Commercial Director and enjoy 1-2 days working from home.

Estimated Salary

£92,500 - £97,500 per annum (basic) + full package & bonus.

 

Job Description

We require an experienced Senior Estimator with strong analytical skills and the ability to lead the estimating process for construction projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and statutory authorities.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • To provide accurate and reasoned estimates of cost for each construction project.
  • To ensure good relationships with our clients, their consultants, our consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • To obtain sub-contract and material quotations for elements of construction projects.
  • To lead the estimating process and prepare tender submission documents.
  • To actively research and advise on alternative construction processes.
  • To audit the administration of each tender and ensure compliance with company procedures.
  • To participate actively with the project team to the benefit of each project.
  • To monitor and report on submitted tenders and market trends/conditions.

 

Requirements

The successful candidate will need to possess:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and statutory authorities.
  • Proven experience in construction estimating.
  • Knowledge of building regulations and industry standards.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • High level of organization and time management skills.
