Job Summary

Fawkes and Reece is seeking a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a major highways project in the UK.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of the project, including raising early warning notices, identifying and pricing compensation events, and preparing applications for payment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Raise early warning notices to the client and subcontractors
  • Identify, notify and price compensation events
  • Produce or support the production of CVRs
  • Manage subcontractors from tender enquiries to final accounts
  • Review subcontract quotations and place subcontract orders
  • Assess and pay subcontract applications
  • Prepare applications for payment for assigned work packages
  • Agree final accounts with clients and subcontractors
  • Work closely with the commercial lead on day-to-day duties on the site

Requirements

  • Experience in a management role within a commercial team (desirable)
  • Highways experience or a similar sector
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar
  • Full right to work in the UK
