Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and passionate Electrical Tutor to join our team. As an Electrical Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering top-quality teaching and learning in electrical theory and practical applications, ensuring apprentices achieve excellence at Level 3 and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and high-quality teaching for City & Guilds and EAL qualifications.
  • Prepare and develop course materials, supporting learners' progression.
  • Teach theoretical and practical subjects at Level 2, Level 3, and occasionally at HNC level.
  • Assess and approve apprentices' coursework, maintaining awarding body standards.
  • Track attendance and progress, providing regular feedback and support to apprentices.
  • Supervise practical training sessions, ensuring safety and maintaining discipline.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external bodies to meet inspection standards and enhance learning outcomes.
Person Specification:Essential Criteria:
  • Educated to Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent).
  • GCSE/Level 2 Maths and English (grades A-C or 9-4).
  • Relevant teaching experience in Electrical Installations, including remote and blended learning.
  • Evidence of up-to-date knowledge in the electrical industry.
  • Teaching qualification at Level 5 (or willingness to work towards).
Desirable Skills:
  • Health & Safety qualification (e.g., IOSH Managing Safely).
  • Assessor or Internal Verifier qualifications (D32, D33, A1, TAQA, V1).
  • Familiarity with the Contracting or Building Services Industry.
