Tutoring Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Tutoring Specialist to join our team in Preston. As a Tutoring Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality 1:1 tutoring sessions to students with social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
About the JobThis is a temporary, part-time position, however the school has a constant flow of students coming through who require 1:1 tutoring, making this a regular need for multiple tutors.
Job Description- Provide tailored 1:1 tutoring sessions to meet the individual needs of each student.
- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons across the whole National Curriculum.
- Utilise online educational resources and tools to enhance learning outcomes.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in supporting students with SEMH difficulties and experience working on a 1:1 basis as a learning mentor. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a patient and empathetic approach to working with vulnerable students.
About the SalaryThe salary for this role is £30-£35 per hour, dependant upon experience and qualifications.
Requirements- Qualified teacher or experienced tutor with a background in supporting students with social, emotional and mental health difficulties as a learning mentor.
- Ability to implement a holistic approach to learning and to provide pastoral support to students.
- Strong knowledge and expertise in Maths and English.
- Ability to effectively utilise online educational platforms and resources.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathetic and patient approach to working with vulnerable students.
- Relevant safeguarding and child protection training and certifications.
- Competitive hourly rate of £30-£35 per hour.
