We are seeking a qualified RICS registered valuer to support our rural valuation team in the south, undertaking a variety of valuations, including a national portfolio contract.

The role will provide an opportunity to join an expanding national team of over 45 rural valuers, offering valuation advice to a range of clients. Based in the Oxford office, you will work alongside the rural valuation head to deliver regional and national valuation projects, with a focus on financial reporting and specialist taxation valuations.

Main tasks include:

  • Working alongside an experienced Oxford team to meet an increasing level of instructions and support the growth of the rural valuation product, service, and turnover.
  • Servicing an existing workflow of taxation and specialist valuation advice within Oxfordshire and adjacent counties.
  • Business development focus, both regionally and in London, with professional contacts, industry specialist firms, and secured lending institutions.
  • Liaison with research and marketing teams to promote valuation and the valuation team of experts.
  • Assisting in the delivery of financial reporting valuations for private clients, county councils, educational institutions, and government organisations.
  • Collection, analysis, and development of market data to support the national rural valuation team.
  • The valuation of rural asset classes, including farms and farmland, rural diversified estates, residential, commercial, and energy assets.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified RICS registered valuer, with a particular interest in delivering valuations to a high standard, and the confidence and enthusiasm to take on a regional and national role.

The rural valuation team has ambitious targets as part of the wider Carter Jonas Vision 2025, and we are looking for new team members to help achieve the growth of the wider rural division.
