Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant in Anaesthesia to join our team at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality anaesthetic care to patients, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes. The role will involve working at the St Helier site, with a job plan that includes 10 programmed activities, including one SPA. There will be no initial on-call commitment, but participation in the 1:12 consultant on-call rota or 1:6 weekend trauma lists will be expected after an initial period of settling into the role.

Person Specification
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
  • At least seven years anaesthetic experience at senior level
  • EPALS/APLS training
  • CCT/CESR in Anaesthesia or eligible for specialist registration within six months of interview
  • Broad experience in peri-operative medicine for high-risk patients
