About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional leader to join our team as the Head of Inclusion, responsible for driving our inclusion initiatives forward and ensuring that our students remain at the heart of everything we do.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the SEND, ALS, and Foundation Learning teams to provide high-quality support and teaching.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of Supported Internships, ensuring they meet the needs of our students and local employers.
  • Work collaboratively with curriculum leaders to support 14-16 Early College Transfers, ensuring a smooth transition and continued success for young learners.
  • Develop and implement strategies to engage and retain NEETs, providing them with tailored support to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Promote a culture of inclusivity and equity across the College, ensuring that all students have access to the resources and support they need to thrive.
  • Work closely with external agencies, local authorities, and employers to enhance the College's inclusive offer.
  • Act as a champion for students with additional needs, ensuring their voice is central to the development of policies and practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of inclusive practices and interventions, driving continuous improvement.

Your commitment to putting students at the centre of everything you do will be evident in your approach, ensuring that every decision and action you take enhances their educational experience.

Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • A relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven leadership experience in SEND, ALS, or a related field within an educational setting.
  • Experience working with 14-16-year-olds, NEETs, and students with additional needs.
  • Strong knowledge of current legislation and best practices in inclusion and SEND.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, staff, parents, and external stakeholders.
