The Business Development Manager for Morrison Data Services will spearhead growth initiatives, developing new products and services for the sectors served by the M Group Services Energy Retail Division.

Responsibilities include generating new leads, developing client relationships, and preparing and delivering pre-qualification and tender documents.

This role requires the ability to navigate tight deadlines and pressures of working in a business development environment, as well as the highs and lows of wins and losses.

As a remote position within the UK, some travel will be required, and the successful candidate will develop in-depth knowledge of company offerings to identify profitable business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support marketing efforts to expand the profile and reach of the company and its brands
  • Build cross-functional teams to guide and nourish sustainable, long-term growth
  • Identify and maintain a pipeline of opportunities and lead the business development process for the Energy Retail businesses
  • Work closely with the commercial and account management functions to identify opportunities to increase the value of contracts, either through increased volume or scope of services

Requirements:

  • At least 2-3 years' experience within a Business Development role
  • A minimum of five years responsibility with quantifiable results in customer-facing roles (e.g. contract negotiation, administration and/or management)
  • Robust skills in Microsoft office software, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Development of customer-oriented new products and technology roadmap
  • Mobilisation and project management skills
