Investment Risk Manager

We are seeking an experienced Investment Risk Manager to support our Investment Manager in building out their risk function. The successful candidate will have a strong background in risk analysis and portfolio management, with expertise in using industry-standard risk systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement risk analysis and reporting for the investment portfolio.
  • Take ownership of the risk modelling system and portfolio management system, including relationships with third-party suppliers.
  • Contribute to the analysis of strategic asset allocation and manager selection decisions.
  • Develop and maintain regular risk reports.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of systems and processes used by the Investment Management Team.

Required Experience:

  • Experience at a multi-asset investment manager or in-house investment function of a large asset owner.
  • Expertise in using BarraOne or a similar industry-standard risk system.
  • Extensive knowledge of asset classes, investment strategies, and associated risk modelling.
  • Experience in presenting investment proposals to committees or boards.
  • Knowledge of UK DB pension liabilities and industry-standard risk modelling systems.
