Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join our MASH Team as a permanent full-time employee. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting assessments, providing support to children and families, and representing the Local Authority in court proceedings.

Responsibilities

  • To undertake a range of assessments, including initial and core assessments, as part of the MASH Team's process.
  • To work closely with other professionals, such as police officers, healthcare workers, and education staff, to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the child's needs.
  • To develop and implement effective plans to support children and families, taking into account their individual needs and circumstances.
  • To attend court proceedings, presenting the Local Authority's case and advocating for the needs of children and families.
  • To maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to relevant legislation and guidelines.

Requirements

  • A degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Possession of excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
