Theatre Receptionist/Administration Support Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to fill the role of Theatre Receptionist within our team at South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust.
As a key member of our administrative support staff, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality clerical service to our operating theatres, ensuring that all patient information is handled confidentially and efficiently.
You will be working closely with our theatre staff, responding to phone calls, managing the reception desk, and coordinating logistics for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the reception desk, ensuring that it remains clean and tidy
- Respond to phone calls, answer queries, and direct calls to relevant staff members
- Coordinate logistics for patients, including arranging equipment and supplies
- Ensure that all patient information is handled confidentially and securely
We are looking for someone who is highly organized, efficient, and able to work well under pressure. You should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to build strong relationships with our theatre staff.
You will need to be proficient in using Microsoft Office software packages and have experience working with IT systems. Knowledge of hospital systems is desirable, but full training will be provided.
