About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Tesco Colleague in Great Yarmouth. As a key member of our store team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Availability Window

Our store operates on the following availability window:

• Sundays: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM • Fridays: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM • Saturdays: 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM

We offer a competitive rate of pay, starting from £12.02 per hour, with opportunities for pay increases based on location and skills. As a Tesco Colleague, you will also receive a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, with opportunities to work fewer hours if desired.

Responsibilities

As a Tesco Colleague, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience
  • Building rapport with customers and delivering great natural service
  • Working across the store in our service, picking, and replenishment areas
  • Putting into practice the training you have received to work safely and effectively
  • Making decisions that are right for customers and delivering routines in store that meet their needs
  • Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to create a great inclusive atmosphere
  • Being knowledgeable about your store's performance and understanding your role in driving service and sales
  • Handling products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition
  • Being yourself, living our values, and making everyone feel welcome

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A passion for delivering great service and greeting customers with a smile
  • The ability to build rapport with customers and make decisions that are right for them
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
