Job Summary

We are seeking highly skilled clinicians to enhance our respiratory service at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. Our team comprises experienced respiratory physicians and clinical scientists working across various sub-specialty teams.

The service provides regional services in cystic fibrosis, interstitial and occupational lung disease, lung transplantation, severe asthma, pulmonary tuberculosis, and sleep and ventilation. Our multidisciplinary teams are supported by respiratory nurse specialists, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, and psychologists.

We offer state-of-the-art lung function and sleep services, including polysomnography, and well-established Endobronchial Ultrasound and local anaesthetic Thoracoscopy services. Our Trust provides lung cancer services in conjunction with one of the largest thoracic surgery units in the country, supported by a team of lung cancer nurses and MDT co-ordinators.

Main Duties of the Job

The successful candidates will join a rapidly expanding respiratory department and be based at the QE Hospital Birmingham. We are particularly interested in applicants with a particular interest in Pulmonary Infection, Asthma, Sleep, Pleural diseases, and Interstitial Lung Disease.
