This apprenticeship is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge required to become a Materials Testing Engineer in the defence, aerospace, and security industries. You will be trained in three Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods, including ultrasonics, radiography, and infrared thermography.

As a key member of our team, you will apply scientific principles to identify flaws obscured by structural or volumetric features. You will also learn about formula-based engineering and relevant current technologies, as well as how to use materials, equipment, tools, processes, and products relating to NDT.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £22,000-£25,000 per annum, depending on experience and location. Benefits include working with a friendly NDT team and interacting with different parts of the business to expand your skills and knowledge.

Required skills include communication and team working. Your apprenticeship will take place on-site, with some time spent at a training provider's site in Sheffield, where accommodation and travel will be provided.
