Job Description

The successful candidate will work on various construction projects, ensuring compliance with the Technical Specification for reinforced concrete. Key responsibilities include reviewing and commenting on Section 7 'Reinforced Concrete' to identify any necessary updates.

Sensory Evaluation of Materials:

Conduct sensory evaluations of aggregates, including reviews and acceptance of Contractors' Proposals for Structural Concrete Constituent Material Supply Reports. Assess sensitivity studies to evaluate the impact of accidental variations in batch masses on concrete quality.

Material Qualification:

Evaluate material qualifications, including acceptance of Contractors' Proposals for Admixtures used in the validity study, infrared spectrophotometry results, and analysis by an independent organization.

Concrete Production Suitability Tests:

Confirm the performance of concrete during construction operations through suitability testing. This includes initial testing using the proposed production plant and replicated site conditions.

Precautions against Thermal Cracking:

Review and comment on Contractors' Proposals to ensure maximum temperatures do not exceed 60oC and temperature differentials between the center and surface of the pour are within specified limits.

Production Conformity Control:

Monitor conformity control submissions, sampled review, and compile Lifetime Quality Records as per the ITP / Quality Plan.

Skills and Qualifications:

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Materials Specialist with expertise in reinforced concrete. A strong background in materials science and engineering is essential. Proficiency in writing technical reports and ability to collaborate with contractors and other stakeholders is also required.
