We are seeking an experienced manufacturing engineer/automation specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and automation, with the ability to design and implement efficient production processes.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement automation solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and maintain lean-structured process documents, work instructions, and standard operation procedures.
- Collaborate with production engineering teams to implement automation initiatives across production areas.
- Specify, set up, and commission new robotic equipment and facilities.
- Generate and adjust programs for new and existing product welds.
- Oversee weld facilities, adjusting welds and tooling as needed.
- Provide hands-on technical support to teams.
- Help develop and integrate automated/robotic welding processes.
- Assess welding processes for quality, productivity, and function.
- Train others in welding practices.
- Support internal and external audits of welding processes.
- Perform basic mechanical and electrical repairs.
The successful candidate will have a degree in an engineering or manufacturing discipline, with proven skills and experience in developing and supporting new and existing production lines and plant equipment.
Robotic programming and maintenance experience, preferably in robotic welding, is required. A working knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma in the manufacturing field is desirable.
