We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Biomedical Scientist to join our team in Haematology and Blood Transfusion at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Biomedical Scientist, you will play a critical role in providing a high-quality service to our patients and users.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a range of complex investigations to assist in the diagnosis of disease and monitoring of treatment.
- Work in a rotational basis across Haematology, Coagulation, Blood Transfusion, and Immunohaematology sections.
- Use manual, semi-automated, and automated techniques on highly specialized analytical equipment.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new procedures and protocols.
- Provide training and support to Practitioner BMS staff.
- Current HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
- Substantial post-registration experience in a UK Pathology service Haematology/Blood Transfusion laboratory.
- Specialist portfolio and/or MSc.
- Excellent IT skills and ability to work in a team environment.
