At Talent Finder, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our nursery team in London. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the nursery manager in ensuring the provision of high-quality childcare services. About the Role

We are looking for someone with a minimum level 3 qualification in Children and Young People's Workforce Early Years qualification and at least 3 years of post-qualified experience working in a preschool/nursery setting with 0-5 year olds. You will have a good working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and current Ofsted statutory guidance, as well as awareness and understanding of regulations relating to early years education.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, empathy and understanding of children, and excellent verbal and communication skills with children and parents. You will also be able to write reports and keep clear and accurate records, and have IT skills (Word & Excel).

Responsibilities
  • To deputise for the nursery manager and be responsible for any tasks delegated by the manager
  • To ensure a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care and development for children in the nursery
  • To support personnel within the nursery and provide an excellent facilitator between management and staff
  • To be responsible for the supervision of staff, identifying their learning needs, planning training and advising key staff
