Job Title: Academic Support Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated individual to support children with special educational needs in primary schools across the Sunderland area. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, preferably in an SEN environment, but this is not essential.

The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting a child's development, planning activities, and maintaining a safe and engaging learning environment. They will also work closely with teachers and other staff members to ensure the child receives the best possible support.

This role is perfect for those passionate about education and making a difference in the lives of children. As a member of our team, you will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support to help you excel in your role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting children with special educational needs in primary schools
  • Planning and implementing activities to promote learning and development
  • Maintaining a safe and engaging learning environment

Requirements:
  • GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in relevant subjects
  • Experience working with children, preferably in an SEN environment
  • Reliability, punctuality, and strong communication skills

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
