Fives, a pioneering company in the sustainability industry, is seeking a skilled Refractory Specialist to join our team in Birmingham, AL. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in designing and managing projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lay and align firebricks, gunite, castables, and refractory tile to build or repair high-temperature equipment
  • Tear out refractory masonry and install new refractory materials
  • Operate refractory pumps, gunite rigs, refractory mixers, forklifts, and skid steers
  • Read blueprints and job specifications to perform various welding tasks
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of construction experience
  • Experience with firebrick, castable, plastics, ceramics, gunite, shotcrete/pump, and anchor
  • Welding skills for thermal process applications
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time with potential additional travel
