Key Responsibilities:

  • Lay and align firebricks, gunite, castables, and refractory tile to build or repair structures or high-temperature equipment.
  • Tear out refractory masonry.
  • Lay refractory bricks.
  • Install poured castables.
  • Install gunnable constables, shotcrete, and line with ceramic welding.
  • Install refractory material by plastic ramming.
  • Operate refractory pumps, gunite rigs, refractory mixers, forklifts, skid steers, etc.
  • Read blueprints or job specifications to be able to perform various welding tasks.

Requirements:

  • Experience with firebrick, castable, plastics, ceramics, gunite, shotcrete/pump, anchor.
  • Welding for thermal process applications.
  • 2+ years of construction experience.
  • Skill in all phases of refractory construction, including gunite, pouring, ramming, pumping, ceramic fiber, and firebrick installation.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time with potential additional travel.
