About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Product Development Engineer to join our R&D team at Corin Group. As an Orthopedic Device Designer, you will play a key role in designing medical hip and knee implants and instrumentation.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  1. A graduate-level degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Product Design, or demonstrate equivalent education or experience.
  2. Familiarity with highly regulated environments, such as the orthopedic field.
  3. Excellent computer literacy and proficiency in CAD, FEA, and PLM software.
  4. A high level of accountability and ownership for their work, collaboration with others, and projects.

Key Responsibilities

You will design medical and mechanical devices, preferably orthopedic implants and associated instrumentation. This includes generating concept and detail designs using appropriate methods and dedicated software.

As a Biomedical Product Development Engineer, you will:

  • Develop full design packages to facilitate design transfer to production.
  • Maintain design control, risk management documentation, and technical reports according to Corin's internal procedures and quality standards.
  • Liaise with Manufacturing, Production Engineering, Quality, and Regulatory teams to ensure compliance with regulations.

Benefits and Salary

We offer a competitive salary of £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. Other benefits include:

  1. Pension scheme (6% rising to 9%)
  2. Life assurance (6x basic salary)
  3. BUPA medical insurance
