Pediatric Dietitian Opportunity

As a Band 5/6 Community Paediatric Dietitian at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, you will be working within a proactive and dynamic team of paediatric dietitians and dietetic assistants. Your varied post-graduate clinical experience and strong interest in paediatric dietetics will enable you to contribute significantly to our department.
The job involves providing a highly specialised nutrition and dietetic service to the child health business unit, working across Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, and in the local community. You will advise medical and nursing staff on the appropriate use of prescribable specialist food products and formulas. Our team is committed to appraisal and continued professional development, with excellent clerical and IT support.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Work as part of the paediatric dietetic team.
- Provide a highly specialised nutrition and dietetic service to the child health business unit.
- Contribute towards service developments through audit and patient surveys.
- Manage and prioritise a delegated caseload.
- Advise medical and nursing staff on the appropriate use of prescribable specialist food products and formulas.
About Us
Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a friendly department of around 25 staff spread across two main sites (Basingstoke and Winchester). We work closely with other departments and are involved in student training. Our team is dedicated to delivering high standards of care in line with evidence-based practice and national guidelines.
Requirements:
- BSc Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent.
- Registered with the HCPC as a dietitian.
- Broad range of clinical dietetic experience including some in paediatrics.
- Experience with Gastroenterology or Oncology.
