Senior Care Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at The Oaks Care Home, part of Sandstone Care Group. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, promoting their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting residents with personal care and hygiene, eating, and daily activities
  • Providing emotional support and companionship
  • Maintaining high standards within the care home environment
  • Senior-level duties to support the Home Manager, including staff supervisions, appraisals, record-keeping, and liaising with outside professionals

Requirements:

  • Supervisory/leadership experience in a residential or nursing home setting
  • A positive outlook and warm personality
  • Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care or willingness to work towards
  • Confident in record-keeping and the use of various technologies
  • Able to remain calm and guide colleagues under pressure
