Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Specialist to join our dynamic GSD HQ regional team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and Developing detailed customer engineering drawings and technical specification documents.
  • Creating Bespoke Components that meet mechanical integrity and safety standards, including hydraulic flange fittings.
  • Collaborating with Senior Engineers and other departments to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Providing Technical Expertise to support the implementation of HV monitoring solutions.
  • Troubleshooting and Resolving customer issues related to project designs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain technical specification documents and checklists.
  • Ensure all designs meet mechanical integrity and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and other departments to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Support the implementation of HV monitoring solutions by providing technical expertise.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving customer issues related to project designs.

Qualifications

  • A minimum 2:1 degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience with CAD software packages (Solid-Edge preferably) including creating 2D technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop within a professional engineering environment.
