Job Title: Head of Planning

We are seeking an experienced Head of Planning to join our team at Gleeson Recruitment Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading our planning function and ensuring that our production planning processes are aligned with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning team responsible for all line planning within the business, ensuring that they operate in line with our business standards and behaviours.
  • Develop and maintain capacity tracking for all operations within manufacturing and logistics, working closely with manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, and logistics providers.
  • Work with demand planners to ensure that all SOA amendments processes are planned correctly to avoid downtime.
  • Collaborate with quality teams to ensure that MPS plans fit in and align with quality lead times and constraints.
  • Liaise with subcontract manufacturers to ensure that build plans align with internal build plans and PTS plans.
  • Develop and maintain operations status reporting using the latest business intelligence toolset.
  • Own the planning processes and planning data within our company ERP system.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience across supply chain functional areas and demonstrated ability to understand and manage complex supply chains.
  • Deep understanding of planning processes and materials management.
  • Experience in automotive planning.
  • Management of a team.
  • Ability to operate at different levels of the business.
  • Ability to communicate and summarize complex information.
