Electrical Engineer / Building Services Engineer Job Description

Job Title: Electrical Engineer / Building Services Engineer

Location: Data Center

Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts (7am - 7pm), 7 days in 14

Salary: 45,000 per annum + 25% shift allowance

Experience: 4-5 years (mandatory)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer / Building Services Engineer to oversee the electrical components of our data center, maintain and operate the building management system (BMS), and manage small works installations. The role offers a competitive salary with shift allowance, bonus scheme, and private healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain and service the electrical systems within the data center.
  2. Operate and troubleshoot the Building Management System (BMS) to ensure optimal building performance.
  3. Perform small works installations and electrical servicing tasks as required.
  4. Manage electrical operations on-site, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
  5. Ensure timely and effective response to any electrical faults or issues.
Requirements:
  1. Experience: 4-5 years in electrical engineering or building services (mandatory).
  2. Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts (7am - 7pm), averaging 3.5 shifts per week, working a 7-day period over 14 days.
  3. Previous data center experience is advantageous but not essential.
  4. Certified data center qualifications would be beneficial.
Benefits:
  1. Salary: 45,000 per annum plus a 25% shift allowance.
  2. Bonus Scheme: 10% of base salary (performance/objective-based).
  3. Pension Scheme.
  4. Private Healthcare: Includes an option to extend coverage to family or include dental, at an additional cost.
Desired Qualifications:
  1. Experience in a data center environment or relevant certification.
  2. Strong understanding of electrical servicing and installation work.
