About the Role

We are seeking a talented Design Engineer Apprentice to join our team at Humres. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing engineering solutions for a range of projects, from standard to complex and bespoke.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design engineering solutions for a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with relevant British Standards and specialist documentation.
  • Provide support to our engineering teams nationwide, including design checking, draughting, and project documentation.
  • Prepare clear and well-structured design calculations and reports, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Conduct design risk assessments and consider buildability and sequencing to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Liaise with clients to understand their specific requirements and build lasting relationships based on understanding and service.
About You
  • You have a strong background and proven track record in temporary works design for large-scale projects.
  • You are a Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership, with a strong understanding of relevant British Standards and specialist documentation.
  • You possess effective and consistent communication skills, with the ability to work individually or as part of a team.
