Job Title: Head of HSE and SafeguardingJob Summary

Lorien is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of HSE and Safeguarding to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive health, safety, and wellbeing strategy across the division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a robust HSE strategy, including safeguarding and wellbeing, in line with legal requirements and corporate policies.
  • Lead the HSE team, providing guidance and support to ensure the effective management of health, safety, and wellbeing risks.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to raise awareness of HSE and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Design and implement policies, procedures, and governance related to HSE across all UK operations.
  • Develop and maintain the Wellbeing roadmap, ensuring the health and wellbeing of staff and service users.
  • Manage a team of HSE Managers and specialists, providing coaching and development opportunities to ensure the right people, skills, and capabilities are in place.
  • Work closely with HSE leads in Experience Division and Technology Software Solutions (TSS) to ensure the wellbeing, health, and safety of the division and service users.
  • Ensure all HSE related corporate legal and statutory compliance requirements are met.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HSE, with experience in leading and managing teams, developing and implementing HSE strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

They will be a strategic thinker, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

The role requires a high level of autonomy, with the ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be a strong leader, with a passion for HSE and a commitment to ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of staff and service users.

They will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of HSE principles, policies, and procedures, and be able to apply this knowledge in a practical and effective way.
