Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

Location: Hybrid (Manchester and Remote)

Duration: 6 months

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our in-house software engineering department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing systems, APIs, and business services using the latest technologies such as DXP and Kafka Integration Platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software systems, APIs, and business services using modern technologies
  • Utilize DevOps principles around CI/CD and continuous review and improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Develop and maintain complex microservices in cloud-based solutions, specifically within AWS
  • Ensure the highest level of technical expertise and knowledge sharing within the team

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in software development in languages such as Node, TypeScript, and Python
  • Excellent technology awareness, including modern ways of working, CI/CD, DevOps, containerization, and Docker
  • Experience with systems integration technologies, including RESTful, message queuing, and web hooks
  • Proficiency in SQL, including Oracle SQL, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL Server
  • Thorough understanding of source control capabilities and processes
  • Team player attitude with a willingness to lead when necessary
