About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Strategist to join our team at Lombard Odier. As a key member of our Sales and Business Development team, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth and developing strategic initiatives to enhance our market position.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct in-depth analysis of sales results and customer analytics to inform go-forward sales strategy
  2. Collaborate with the Senior Sales Strategist to develop and implement sales plans, including identifying opportunities to improve data quality and process efficiency
  3. Prepare and facilitate sales planning sessions, and document and deliver on resulting action plans
  4. Develop a deep understanding of client and product financials across our geographical footprint, including relevant trends and watchouts
  5. Improve management visibility of key financial metrics, including team flows and sales
  6. Promote best practice use of Salesforce and identify mechanisms to mandate its use within the sales teams
  7. Define business requirements for changes, enhancements, or new Tableau views, and support efforts to ensure data quality
  8. Build effective relationships with sales team members to facilitate successful work efforts
  9. Liaise with internal departments to coordinate and deliver core business management activities
  10. Participate in cross-functional projects as necessary, providing sales-related business requirements and guidance
  11. Produce ad-hoc sales and business development presentations as required
  12. Creation of one-off and ongoing reports to support the above activities
Requirements
  1. At least 5 years of experience working in a strategy or sales role within an asset management organization
  2. Strong communication skills, both written and spoken
  3. Technical knowledge of financial instruments and markets
  4. In-depth knowledge of investment fund and financial regulations
  5. Strong knowledge of the mutual fund market landscape
  6. Ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative financial data and provide insightful positioning
  7. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  8. Excellent analytical skills that offer insight into sales results, sales effectiveness, and help set go-forward sales strategy
  9. Advanced knowledge of Salesforce and Tableau
