Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Customer Support Advisor to join our team at Comhairle Nan Eilean Siar. This role is responsible for providing exceptional support and care to residents in our shared temporary accommodation unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general advice and support to residents, addressing their needs and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Prepare and clean rooms for allocation to new residents, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and organization.
  • Monitor the general conduct of residents, promoting a safe and respectful living environment.
  • Monitor entry to the building, enforcing house rules and ensuring residents and visitors adhere to them.
  • Conduct regular inspections of rooms and premises, identifying areas for improvement and taking corrective action as needed.
  • Assist with the collection of rents and service charges, maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with residents.
  • Carry out fire alarm checks, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • A strong understanding of the needs of homeless persons and experience working with vulnerable populations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer care skills, with the ability to handle conflicts and emergencies.
  • Flexibility in terms of shift working, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £27,243 to £28,323 per annum, inclusive of a Distant Islands Allowance.
