Finance Team Member Wanted

Search Consultancy is working with a dynamic company based in Leeds to find an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their expanding finance department.

The successful candidate will have prior experience in accounts roles, showcasing a solid grasp of general accounting principles. Previous experience in credit control and purchase ledger would be advantageous in this position.

Responsibilities include assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring accurate financial transaction processing. Support will also be provided for month-end and year-end procedures and assistance with VAT returns and other compliance-related tasks. Furthermore, accurate and up-to-date financial records will be maintained and general administrative support offered to the finance team when needed.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks) and MS Excel is essential.
