About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join Shell's Trading team as a Quantitative Analyst. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced analytics and modelling techniques to enhance commercial activities within Shell Energy Europe & Africa (SE-EA).

Key Responsibilities
  • Commercial Quantitative Modelling: Develop and maintain advanced quantitative models to support commercial activities, including pricing, hedging, and risk management.
  • Renewable Energy Expertise: Utilize your expertise in renewable energy to develop and implement models that optimize commercial activities in the renewable energy space.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Trading, Structuring, BD, and Fundamentals, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with key stakeholders, including Power, GM, RTL, Traders, BD, and DS, to ensure effective communication and relationship management.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Share knowledge and best practices with the team to ensure a high level of expertise and consistency.
Requirements
  • Commercial/Quantitative Experience: Significant experience in commercial/quantitative roles, specifically in the renewable energy space, with a strong track record of performance.
  • Market Expertise: Expert knowledge of the market, including renewable energy, with a strong understanding of commercial opportunity and value drivers.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced technical skills, including Python, machine learning, and coding, with a strong understanding of commercial asset optimization and modelling.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
