Job Title: AutoCAD Project and Design Engineer

Modulift UK Ltd is seeking an experienced AutoCAD Project and Design Engineer to join our Engineering Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing design briefs, detailed specifications, and BOMs to fulfill our customers' lifting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing design briefs and detailed specifications
  • Designing and draughting using AutoCAD and Solidworks Software
  • Working closely with all members of the Engineering Team to share knowledge and expertise
  • Liaising with various stakeholders such as internal colleagues and subcontractors and suppliers
  • Supporting the design, research, and development of new products from initial concepts through to prototyping, pre-production, and final release
  • Supporting the Project Management Team to overcome design challenges when executing a project
  • Conducting both remote and on-site client meetings as required at enquiry stage and throughout fulfillment of a project
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years' experience as a Design Engineer or Senior Draughtsperson with Engineering expertise
  • Degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering, supported by relevant working experience
  • Extensive AutoCad and Solidworks Software experience and familiarity
  • Experience in design for manufacture
  • Willingness to take projects/customer enquiries from concept to completion while communicating effectively and professionally to various internal and external stakeholders
  • Flexible and adaptable, in order to work on a number of projects/enquiries simultaneously
