We are seeking a dedicated and passionate EMHP Leader to join our team at Leicestershire County Council. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people, supporting their mental health and wellbeing in educational settings.

About the Job

We are looking for someone who will take a collaborative approach to leading their colleagues, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation in mental health services. As an EMHP Leader, you will be responsible for developing and delivering training, courses, and workshops to support the mental wellbeing of children and young people. You will also facilitate MHST's presence at community events, raising awareness of mental health issues and promoting positive relationships between schools and communities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the case management process, including assessment, analysis, planning, and intervention. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.

We offer a competitive salary of £35,234 (Level one) rising to £37,937 (Level 4) per annum, pro-rata for part-time. In addition, you will receive a range of benefits, including great leave entitlement and access to a generous pension scheme. ">About You

We are looking for someone with:

  • Successful completion of the HEE commissioned 1yr 'Education Mental Health Practitioner' or Child Wellbeing Practitioner' course.
  • Experience working in effective, evidence-based partnership with children, young people, their families, and their educators in the development of plans for the intervention and agreed outcomes.
  • Strong understanding and practical experience of the case management process.
  • Able to develop good professional relationships with colleagues within educational and child and adolescent mental health services.
  • The ability to confidently deliver workshops, training, and assemblies to a large audience of people.
  • High level of enthusiasm and motivation with regards to own work and empowering others.
  • Excellent organisational and self-management skills.

Estimated salary: £35,675 per annum.
