We are seeking a skilled Assistant Transport Planner to join our Highway Development Management Team at Leicestershire County Council.
The successful candidate will provide highway development management advice to ensure effective transport assessment and input throughout the development process, including managing a case load of predominantly minor sites and supporting the Senior Transport Planner on more complex sites.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience of working in Highway Development Management or land use planning.
- Experience of interpreting and writing technical and non-technical reports.
- Effective negotiation with internal and external organisations, such as developers or Local Planning Authorities.
- Experience of conducting packages of transport analysis or assessment work.
- Knowledge of the planning process as it relates to highways and transportation.
- Ability to work to tight timescales and to agreed targets.
