Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Oversight Specialist to join our team at Network Leeds. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in maintaining the financial health and stability of our organization.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for a finance professional to make a significant impact on our organization's financial management. You will be responsible for overseeing the presentation of budgets, internal management accounts, and annual financial statements to the Board of Trustees.

You will ensure that proper accounting records are kept, and that appropriate accounting procedures and controls are in place. Your expertise will also be crucial in developing robust and comprehensive financial policies, monitoring the financial viability of the charity, and advising on the financial implications of our strategic plan.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of budgets, financial reports, and other financial documents to the Board of Trustees.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure the effective management of our financial resources.
  • Provide financial guidance and advice to the Board of Trustees, helping them make informed decisions about the charity's financial strategy.
  • Monitor and analyze financial data, identifying areas for improvement and suggesting recommendations to optimize our financial performance.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in financial management, preferably in a charity or non-profit setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A strong understanding of charity finance and regulatory requirements.
Salary

The estimated salary for this role is £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
