About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Investigative Lead to join our team in Guildford and Staines. As a Crime Scene Investigator, you will be responsible for conducting operational risk assessments, interviewing witnesses, and working with medical and digital specialists to create evidential opportunities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential threats.
  • Interview witnesses and gather vital evidence to support investigations.
  • Collaborate with experts to enhance evidential opportunities and drive successful outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and policy changes to ensure compliance.
Requirements:
  • Hold a substantive rank of Detective Sergeant within Sussex Police.
  • Be a serving police officer with a Home Office Force.
  • Maintain a good discipline, integrity, and performance record.
  • Demonstrate a strong connection to the UK community, with at least three years' residency or equivalent.
  • Possess a valid UK manual driving licence with minimal penalty points.
  • Avoid any tattoos that may cause offence.
  • Ensure no outstanding County Court Judgements (CCJs) and maintain financial stability.
Working Arrangements:

This role requires daily coverage from 07:00 - 22:00 using an early turn and a late turn. The standard Rota means working one weekend in every three.
