Psychology Graduate Support Worker Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Psychology Graduate Support Worker to join our team at a top-performing secondary school in Wandsworth. The successful candidate will work closely with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) issues.
About the RoleThis is a fantastic opportunity for a Psychology graduate to gain valuable experience and develop their skills in a supportive and dynamic environment. As a Psychology Graduate Support Worker, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of experienced support workers, SEN teacher specialists, SENCo, Educational Psychologist, and Speech & Language Therapist.
Key Responsibilities- Support students with SEN/SEMH issues in a secondary school setting
- Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans
- Provide emotional support and guidance to students as needed
- Assist with lesson planning and delivery
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of the school's SEN/SEMH strategy
We offer a competitive salary of £100 rising to £117 per day, with the opportunity to go permanent after 2 terms. Our school is part of a recognized teacher training trust, and many of our graduates have secured Assistant Psychologist posts from the experience gained here. We also offer on-the-job training from day one and a teacher training scheme for those interested in teaching.
