Lead Exeter Hepatology and Gastroenterology Tissue Bank Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tissue Bank Officer to join our team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the delivery of studies associated with the portfolio of Gastroenterology and Hepatology Tissue Bank.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and manage the delivery of studies associated with the portfolio of Gastroenterology and Hepatology Tissue Bank.
- Assist with the day-to-day management of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Tissue Bank.
- Oversight of the work undertaken by staff working on the EH&IBD portfolio under the remit of the Royal Devon Tissue Bank.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Tissue Bank.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Tissue Bank activities with other departments.
- Varied Band 6 experience or an experienced Band 5 looking to step up.
- Excellent research skills and the ability to work on their own initiative.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of tissue banking principles and practices.
